TEACHING
About Voice Lessons
Interested in taking voice lessons? I'd love to meet you to see if we're a good fit! Specializing in teaching both in-person and online voice lessons, I thrive in helping singers discover and reach their individual vocal goals addressing authenticity first and foremost. If you're interested in online lessons, I can assist you in optimizing your own set-up making your online lesson experience worthwhile and invigorating. While I value all kinds of singers, I work best with highly motivated singers high school-adult age who are interested in singing in the classical, musical theater, or commercial styles. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming audition or performance, exploring a new singing style, or seeking to connect with your unique sound, I'd love to help you along your journey. You will have the option of meeting online or in-person at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction.
My private voice studio is currently full. Please fill out the form below to see if we are good fit and to be added to the waitlist.
Philosophy
My number one priority is to promote and strengthen each singer's unique voice with a basis of vocal health and efficiency. With a holistic approach, I address the entire body (breath, balance, vocal anatomy and physiology), mind (music history, theory, languages), and spirit (authenticity and mental health related to performance). Since each singer is different, I work to engage singers in their specific interests and musical goals. Private clients can expect to learn:
-
artistry and authenticity
-
healthy and effective vocal production
-
new repertoire
-
varying vocal styles based on goals and interests
-
basic music theory
-
foreign language pronunciation (if desired)
-
stage presence
